Your location and privacy

AEP uses only the location information needed to match a civic area and show the current pilot experience.

Private Browse

Prefer not to send an address? Use Private Browse and choose a pilot area instead. No street address is sent to a civic-location provider.

Address Lookup

If you use Address Lookup, AEP sends the address to the configured external civic-location provider solely to identify political geography. AEP does not store the raw street address in its civic/election database, options, diagnostic history, audit history, permanent cookies, analytics, or result URLs.

Short-lived civic context

AEP may retain a short-lived opaque context containing derived political-division and AEP jurisdiction identifiers for up to 10 minutes so the result page can be displayed. Coverage and publications are re-derived from AEP records when the context is loaded. The street address is not part of that context.

No political profiling

AEP does not use civic resolution to infer or sell candidate preferences, ideology, party affiliation, or political-interest segments.

Normal web infrastructure

AEP does not claim complete anonymity. Normal web infrastructure, including the hosting provider, may process ordinary request metadata.
